ICDL France announces two new modules eligible for professional development funding under CPF

Two ICDL modules have been added to the French Special Directory of Skills (Répertoire Spécifique de France Compétences). The 2D CAD and 3D Design modules, using popular software such as SketchUp and InDesign, are now eligible for the CPF, a fund for professional training and development.

The request to add the two modules to the register was made with the skills needs of professional architects and designers. The modules cover a range of essential skills for working with common 2D and 3D design applications.

Through ICDL France, tens of thousands of ICDL courses using more than 30 different software applications are eligible for CPF funding each year. ICDL France is already developing tests on other software, as explained by its CEO, Christopher Sullivan, “We have already started working on tests on Revit for 3D CAD or Publisher for PAO. Our ambition is to offer tests on a wide variety of software to enable our 800 Accredited Test Centres in France to be able to offer as many courses as possible eligible for the CPF.

“We are also working on registering new certifications at the French Special Directory of Skills to further expand our certification offer. We will soon be offering certifications on data protection, computer coding and robotics.”
