German teacher highlights need for development of teachers’ digital skills to be supported

Dr. Rainer Hattenhauer is a teacher for informatics, physics and mathematics in Lower Saxony and an author for digitisation topics. Shortly before the second ‘lockdown’ in December 2020, ICDL Germany spoke to him about what schools have learned since spring and where improvements urgently need to be made. The focus is also on the teachers’ digital skills. According to Hattenhauer, there is a lot of catching up to do here.

The whole conversation is also available on ICDL Germany’s YouTube channel.
