Specto, the ICDL operator in several Arab States, recently organised an event for private schools in Jordan at the Crowne Plaza Dead Sea Resort. The event was attended by around 100 principals and teachers from schools across Jordan. Specto believes that the success of the ICDL programme in schools relies on the efforts of teachers.

During the event, Specto General Manager, Naseem Abu El Haija, delivered a presentation on the future of ICDL. Teachers had the opportunity to learn about the content of new ICDL modules such as Digital Marketing, Computing, and ICT in Education. Another presentation on artificial intelligence was delivered by Dr Sami Abu El Haija. Specto also used the event to honour schools that had decided to make ICDL compulsory for all teachers.
The event, which is held annually, is a good opportunity for teachers and principals to share their experience in implementing ICDL, and to discuss ways to overcome possible challenges. Furthermore, it strengthens the relationships between Specto and school management, showing appreciation for the teachers who work hard throughout the year to make the ICDL experience a successful one for students.
