ICDL Thailand has signed an exclusive memorandum of understanding (MoU) with eight leading ICT and computer associations in Thailand. The agreement was signed in a ceremony held at Centra Hotel, Bangkok attended by a representative of the Ministry of Digital Economy, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Khun Vunnaporn Devahastin Suthapred. Ms Suthapred highlighted the need for co-operation between the private sector, government and international standards to achieve a ‘Digital Thailand 4.0’.

Under the new agreement, the eight associations will work with ICDL Thailand to develop digital literacy standards in Thailand using ICDL Foundation certification programmes. The associations will promote ICDL certification, develop their members’ digital skills, and offer digital skills development to the wider community.
ICDL Thailand sees this as a significant step in the development of digital literacy and these partnerships will greatly increase the capacity to build skills throughout the country.
